There's plenty of pain relief products on the natural health market, these days, but not too many targeted especially at neuropathic pain: the type generated by our nervous system later rather than in immediate response to an injury or illness, which often manifests as either a shooting or burning pain or a feeling of numbness.
Although it has a fairly exotic name and is still just coming into its own as a natural means of alleviating pain and inflammation, Palmitoylethanolamide (P.E.A.) is a type of fatty acid that can be extracted from egg yolks, peanuts, or sunflower lecithin to supplement the amounts our own bodies produce in response to stresses and injuries. It is similar to CBD in some respects, in that it works with the endocannabinoid system to relieve pain, although it appears to help with a broader range of conditions, and of course it's not a controlled substance.

Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) (micronized): 200 mg
DL-Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA): 200 mg
Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin): 33.3 mcg
Berberine (from berberine hydrochloride): 20 mg
Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) Seed, Std. Extract (80% Silymarin): 6.7 mg
Non-medicinal ingredients: Hypromellose, cellulose, ascorbyl palmitate.
 
Suggested Usage:
Adults: Take 3 capsules daily with a meal, or as recommended by your healthcare practitioner. Consult your healthcare practitioner for use beyond 3 months.
